There is a narrative being told that underlies the narrative that people think they are following. This narrative is paradoxically both truth and lie. The true narrative because it is the story that is shaping the world around us and the lie because it is not, in truth, the narratives we accept at face value.
“Racism”, “homophobia”, “income inequality”, “equality”, “intersectionality”, “socialism”, “pro-choice”, “pro-life”, “capitalism”, “constitutional”, etc… It’s highly likely that you find yourself identifying very strongly with some of these terms and hating others. We think there is a right side and a wrong side. Which is true enough, but from our perspective it is hard to see that all sides are wrong.
But wait just a minute! you think. Truth is not subjective! A thing is either wrong or it is right. Even subjectivists prove themselves to be absolutists in the wash. “Truth is subjective” is after all, definitive and rather absolute.
To say that all sides are wrong pertaining to the rifts in our society is not to say that there is no truth. It is to say that the truth is elsewhere.
The truth is not with those who most loudly scream against “racism.” That word has been so distorted from its original definition and made so ambiguous as to now lack any definition that is generally accepted. This is just one example. Social “equality” has gone from meaning the same set of weights for all to special legal privileges for some based upon gender, race and whether or not one is a sexual deviant—for who has ever heard of violence against a straight, white male labeled as a “hate crime?”
The truth is not with the “capitalists” or the “pro-lifers”. When have the former ever waged war on fake, crony capitalism or the anti-capitalistic interference of central banks? What pro-life candidate has ever put an end to abortion?
The truth is not with those who say they are on the side of the marginalized. The most derelict and wasted communities in our nation are governed by those who claim to be their champions. What has it gotten them?
The truth is all too often not in our churches. Church leaders are far too easily enticed with the easy mammon of pandering to this side or that within our society and simply mirror the lie that is all around us.
What is the truth? The truth is, it is all a lie. “Racism” no longer has coherent meaning and only serves to further provoke racial division. “Pro-life” has done little to end the murder of the unborn. “Equality” means special legal treatment for some. “Capitalism” means competitive legal advantages for corporate giants and so it goes.
The truth is underneath all of this. The truth is, all of these narratives are about POWER and those who lust for it. The rest are the lemmings who empower them.
The truth underneath is that those in power who stand behind these labels care very little for these things. Such are simply vehicles thru which they manipulate the masses. Conservative or progressive, the powers that be are thirsty for the very same thing. POWER!
I am altogether sick of them all. They lie because they are of their father…
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I am content to let the world burn, for it shall until the time of His coming. The gospel truth is you do not have to burn with it.
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
